Many people throughout the world do not even know what LRA stands for. It means ruthless religious killers. But if we are going to be technical it means Lord’s Resistance Army. This rebel group is based in central Africa and has been abducting children ad creating child soldiers since the 1980’s. That is now 3 decades in killing, abuse, and several generations’ worth of turmoil in many African countries.
There is lack of education, health care, democratic governments and protection for children. The real issue is the lack of funding. There are countless organizations struggling to help but due to low funds the care given is low. We can look at each of these situations separately and try to help but if we don’t realize they are all combined we will not make the impact we wish.
Here is a little history lesson. The Berlin Conference met in 1884 and 1885. Otto von Bismarck organized this conference. The goal was to regulate the trade and European colonization in Africa. Because of European’s colonizing, African countries were formed based on trades and this created combinations of differing tribes in the same country. Europeans colonized areas instead of where different villages and tribes were. This is when rebellions began and then fighting over territory. To this day colonization is to blame for many rebel groups and dictatorships.
My solution is visionary, and unlike any other solution that has come about. Using the physics of moving between different points in time, creating a time machine will solve Africa’s problems. I just need some physicist, engineers and excited volunteers to travel back in time to the New Imperialism period and destroy The Berlin Conference!
This will stop the skewed colonized African countries and in present time we will discover democratic governments with proper education and health care, protection for the children and a decrease in fighting over territory.
